Abstract

This study was based on analyzing the use of digital tools for reading comprehension from a review of bibliographic sources. A qualitative documentary approach was used as the methodology, based on the PRISMA method for selecting studies. Among the articles selected, 15 studies included in journals indexed in Scielo, Scopus, and Web of Science were taken into account. The results showed that digital tools have promoted adaptive and motivating learning environments for the development of reading comprehension. Therefore, it was concluded that technologies have made it possible to perceive the reading process as a harmonious moment that could facilitate the understanding of complex topics.
