Influence of emotional intelligence on teaching performance within culturally diverse school environments

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence on teaching performance within culturally diverse school contexts. Methodologically, the research was conducted using a qualitative approach and ethnographic method. To this end, five key informants were interviewed, whose contributions helped to generate a series of emerging categories focused on the topic of study. It was also possible to interact with them to obtain more accurate information. Among the results, it was noted that teachers with optimal emotional intelligence easily adapted to effective communication, conflict management, and harmonious relationships with their students. In conclusion, it was established that the promotion of emotional intelligence in teachers was key to their efficient performance in various multicultural contexts.
