Abstract

ABSTRACT

The objective of this study was to analyze the challenges and opportunities of active methodologies in rural education. A descriptive quantitative approach was used as the methodology, employing a survey as the technique. A structured questionnaire was used as an instrument, in which 50 teachers and 50 students from rural schools participated, expressing their perceptions of the effectiveness and challenges of active methodologies in rural environments. As a result, it was determined that such methodologies have been applied with their limitations and benefits for student autonomy and performance. Therefore, it was concluded that they represented a significant opportunity to optimize educational quality in rural environments.
