Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the management of government policies aimed at reducing forest fires in Peru, taking into account the challenges involved. Methodologically, the study was based on a qualitative approach, conducting a systematic and descriptive literature review using a documentary model and the PRISMA method. The analysis indicated that urban expansion and social, economic, and cultural transformations in rural communities have altered land use and management, leading to the abandonment of grasslands and an increase in vegetation suitable for fuel. It was concluded that the implementation of environmental education, the development of public policies, and the use of technologies for prevention and early detection have been essential for the adoption of advanced tools such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
