Abstract

The purpose of this article was to analyze digital well-being and academic performance in upper secondary education students based on a systematic review. Methodologically, it was developed using a qualitative documentary approach, employing a systematic review of 15 studies derived from the Scielo, Scopus, and Web of Science databases and a documentary analysis. Among the instruments, record sheets and analysis matrices were used. The PRISMA methodology was also employed. As a result, aspects such as time management, mental and emotional health, and digital ethics, among others, emerged in the digital well-being category, while aspects such as excessive use, student performance, digital skills, and others emerged in the academic performance category. In conclusion, it was determined that digital well-being is necessary for the good academic performance of upper secondary education students.
