Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of communication skills on the formation of critical thinking in university students. Methodologically, the study was based on a qualitative documentary approach, in which the techniques of systematic review and content analysis were used and as instruments the registration sheet and analysis matrix. Selected articles were processed through the PRISMA declaration. Among the results, the analysis revealed that effective communication significantly enhances critical skills, favors academic performance and promotes intellectual autonomy. To conclude, the need to integrate communication training into university curricula was found as a key strategy for strengthening critical thinking in higher education educational contexts.
