The influence of leadership on the operational efficiency of healthcare institutions
Abstract
The general objective of the research was to analyze the influence of leadership on the operational efficiency of healthcare institutions. It was developed through a systematic review of the literature, following the guidelines of the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses). This methodology is replicable and scientific, allowing to clearly define the field of study and to understand the path that researchers take to arrive at their findings. In addition, this approach allowed for an in-depth understanding of the field of study. Likewise, a content analysis of the articles was carried out to select those most related to the objective of the study, specifically those that focused on leadership strategies. It is concluded that the adequate implementation of computer and technological systems in hospitals is fundamental to improve the quality of care, through adequate training and the formation of leaders in the health sector
