Open government: A public management challenge to strengthen democracy
Abstract
The general objective of the research was to analyze open government: A challenge in public management to strengthen democracy. The method used in the research was based on the quantitative approach, resorting to the documentary-bibliographic typology, which allows the analysis of the object of study to be established. At the same time, it took the form of a systematic review, a theoretical methodology that seeks to bring together all the knowledge available on a specific area. In order to carry out the systematic review of peer-reviewed articles, a protocol was used to organize the information of each selected article. It is concluded that the adoption of GA significantly improves transparency, citizen participation and accountability in public management. These elements are crucial for the strengthening of democracy, as they promote inclusion and efficiency in the formulation and execution of public policies.
