The impact of public policies on the prevention and reduction of gender-based violence
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to analyze the impact of public policies on the prevention and reduction of gender-based violence. Methodologically, the study employed a qualitative, documentary approach. The PRISMA methodology was used for the careful selection of articles, resulting in 15 relevant studies that enriched our understanding of this issue. These studies were drawn from journals indexed in the Scielo, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. The results highlighted aspects such as: the doctrinal basis for state intervention regarding gender-based violence, a critical review of the Peruvian legal framework, and a doctrinal assessment of the structure and orientation of current public policies. In conclusion, it was found that training, monitoring, and community participation in situations of gender-based violence have become essential factors today.
