Impacts and Challenges of Public Investment Management in Latin American Universities: A Systematic Review

Abstract
The objective of this study was to analyze the impacts and challenges of public investment management in Latin American universities: A Systematic Review. The method employed was a literature review, complemented by a systematic review of scientific research, which consists of an exploration of peer-reviewed studies conducted through a planned process with rigorous execution, following the guidelines of the PRISMA statement. This allowed for the retrieval of articles published in the last five years (2022–2026) regarding the management of public investments in universities in Latin American countries. The search was conducted in the SciELO and Scopus databases. In conclusion, the management of public investments in Latin American universities is an indispensable part of strengthening higher education, as it improves educational quality by providing opportunities for vulnerable populations to access higher education.
