Quality of Municipal Public Investment Expenditures: A Systematic Review
Abstract
The objective of this study was to analyze the quality of municipal public investment spending through a systematic review. The methodology employed an interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach and a documentary research design. The techniques used included systematic review and content analysis, and the instruments employed were data sheets and analysis matrices. In addition, the PRISMA methodology was applied, resulting in the inclusion of 15 articles. Among the results, the following aspects stood out: social progress, the distribution of administrative expenditures, public spending policy, community integration, and the use of artificial intelligence, among others. In conclusion, the study emphasizes that all issues related to public investment spending require a collaborative effort between government entities and the community, as this would enable equitable management of municipal resources in each country
