Abstract

The study focused on analyzing the proactivity of employees in the strategic management of a public entity. Methodologically, it was based on a phenomenological qualitative research approach, using interviews to gather information and categorization to analyze emerging themes; an interview guide was also used as a tool.  To this end, five key informants were selected based on their years of work experience and impeccable performance, among other criteria. The results highlighted that freedom, leadership, commitment, autonomy, and strong performance have led to proactive leadership. In conclusion, proactivity has contributed new strategic visions aimed at improving the work processes of public employees and fostering a positive attitude toward work, which is demonstrated through optimal performance in the service of the nation.
