Artificial intelligence and collaborative participation in local governments. A systematic review
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to analyze Artificial Intelligence (AI) and collaborative participation in local governments through a systematic review. From a methodological standpoint, the research was based on a qualitative, documentary approach, using the PRISMA statement as the method for selecting articles. In terms of methodology, systematic review and content analysis were employed, and data sheets and analysis matrices were used as instruments. The results revealed the use of local platforms and social media, an optimization of participatory processes, the community’s understanding of complex procedures, and AI serving as a support rather than a substitute for public officials. Consequently, it was concluded that AI has served as a catalyst for government operations, through the consideration of ethical principles and social participation.
