Abstract

The general objective of this research is to propose a healthy and economical breakfast alternative for children from 5 to 10 years old, which is capable of meeting the daily caloric requirements of children. The methodology used was a cross-sectional non-experimental design, where theoretical and practical study models are reviewed. The results indicated in accordance with the bibliographic research and the proposals of the subjects referring to the third semester of gastronomy, it was identified that the nutritious recipe options for breakfast are considered the most important meal of the day since it provides the necessary energy to start the day successfully. In conclusion, it was obtained that the healthy breakfast menu had a positive approval; It was also possible to identify that it is possible to carry out and apply it for children's breakfasts from 5 to 10 years old for the normal development of the child.
