Ergonomic risks at workplaces in a ceramics company
Abstract
The aim of this study is to identify the ergonomic risks in the workstations in the final sorting and finished product departments of a private company as a mechanism for the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries. A descriptive, non-experimental research study was carried out using a cross-sectional design. There are specific areas of concern, as evidenced in sheets 1.4 and 1.5, where unacceptable conditions in lifting and carrying loads are highlighted. The findings of this study determine the importance of a thorough assessment of each workstation in order to identify specific ergonomic risks and implement appropriate preventive measures. This implies the need to address psychosocial aspects in the workplace and to consider the variability in perceived exertion between departments, which could have implications for workload and employee well-being.
