Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze exposure to ergonomic risk factors, including mechanical vibration, and its impact on musculoskeletal injuries in workers at the Tenesaca Workshop, located in Cuenca, Ecuador. This is a descriptive, non-experimental research study with a correlational scope. The data obtained in this study reveal the different frequencies and percentages of responses of the respondents in relation to their exposure to vibrations. According to the results, 10% of the respondents reported being exposed to vibration half of the time, while 6% reported being exposed most of the time and 4% reported being exposed all the time. Pearson's correlation analysis between variables related to vibration exposure and other factors such as discomfort, age, noise exposure, reduction in work activity and working hours showed no significant correlations
