Influence of mental health in public transport drivers and road traffic accidents
Abstract
The general objective of the research was to describe the influence of mental health on public transport drivers and traffic accidents. The method developed in this research was based on the quantitative approach, using the documentary-bibliographic typology, which allows the analysis of the object of study to be established. A systematic review was adopted, a theoretical methodology that seeks to gather all the knowledge available on a specific area, in this case, the relationship between mental health and traffic accidents in drivers of public transport companies. It was concluded that the majority of public transport drivers are men. Although women have higher levels of mild and moderate anxiety, public transport occupations are dominated by men. It is essential to implement policies and intervention programs that address both working conditions and mental health
