Abstract

This article is presented with the aim of exploring the relationship between job satisfaction and psychological well-being among university faculty. The study followed a systematic review methodology with interpretive analysis of quantitative data. The literature search was conducted in the Scielo and Scopus databases during the 2021–2026 period, using inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample consisted of 10 articles. The results show that scientific output focuses on cross-sectional quantitative studies. Interpretations of the findings suggest that job satisfaction and psychological well-being, in the context of university faculty, constitute a system in which both elements are integrated and interact dynamically. Therefore, they should not be analyzed solely from a perspective of productivity and quantification, but rather the analysis should be broadened to include psychological and emotional dimensions, especially when they are considered as indicators of educational quality and university institutional management.
