Multi-criteria analytic hierarchy processes for supplier selection

Abstract

The general objective of the research was to analyze the multicriteria analytic hierarchy process method for supplier selection. It was based on a quantitative research approach, the data were obtained from the study of the variables and analyzed quantitatively. It was based on numerical aspects for the collection of data and thus allowed us to perform an analysis of the data and information obtained based on mathematical operations that allowed us to infer conclusions. The population considered comprised ten suppliers with which the company is supplied. As for the sample, it is the same amount as the population. A questionnaire was applied. It is concluded that, including state-of-the-art methods in business decision making. The organization improves its operational efficiency and its response to market variations by proactively managing inventory and optimizing supplier selection.
